      <description><![CDATA[<p>JOB DUTIES</p><p> Ensures observance of safety precautions.</p><p> Performs inspection and reports discrepancies.</p><p> Maintains pressure boilers, electrical equipment, lifting and power distribution.</p><p> Performs minor fan and air-conditioning repairs.</p><p> Performs minor electrical and mechanical repairs to equipment throughout the hotel.</p><p> Performs rough carpentry work, drywall and painting repairs.</p><p> Performs routine plumbing repairs, including installation of toilet, sinks, and other hardware &amp; fixtures, and</p><p>laundry/kitchen equipment.</p><p> Updates engineering log during assigned shift.</p><p> Assists Chief Engineer in administration of an on-going preventive maintenance program for equipment and</p><p>guest rooms.</p><p> Assists in administration of special franchise maintenance programs.
